|Kid’s Hope USA
KIDS HOPE USA is our one-on-one mentoring program staffed by adult volunteers giving of their time to nurture the heart of a child at North View Elementary School. These loving, caring adults are members of our congregation, and each makes a commitment to devote an hour every week to their mentoring role for one full school year. This award-winning program meets the emotional, social and academic needs of the children and creates a successful, sustainable and life-changing church-school-community partnership.
Grace Village is the Episcopal-Lutheran campus ministry at Ball State University (626 N Martin Street, Muncie). Grace Village welcomes students for Bible study, worship, service activities, and outreach events.
Project Stepping Stone
There are remarkably few options for families seeking housing in Muncie. PSS works to counter this by managing three homes that provide transitional housing rent-and-utility-free for low-income families. The three to four months the families spend in our home allow them to recover, save, and move forward after domestic instability, personal loss, or economic hardship. Each year Project Stepping Stone hosts a joint service between the churches, followed by lunch and a traditional dessert auction. It is a lot of fun with a lot of good food.
We are blessed with land and talented hard-working people in our congregation. To use these gifts in the service of God, we have a community vegetable garden. The harvest of the garden is donated to Christian Ministries, as well as shared among the congregation. We also have a pavilion and meditation garden that is open to the community, offering a quiet place to walk, relax, mediate or sit and talk.
