Dear friends,

Grace and Peace to you in the name of our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He is risen! He is risen indeed, Alleluia!

I bid you Easter greetings today, as we still find ourselves in the Easter season celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior. And what an Easter season it has been so far! We have had some folks returning to the sanctuary for worship as we enter into worship both in person and on Zoom. And, much like returning to the sanctuary to record Zoom services in December, having folks join me in person has breathed new life into me and into our worship service. I told Cody that I felt like I was preaching with a little more gusto now that there are people in the sanctuary, and he admitted that he felt like he was playing music with a little more panache as well.

He is risen! He is risen indeed, Alleluia!

And, if that weren’t enough, the worship committee has created a plan for moving forward with in person worship opportunities from May through September (maybe even October)! I’ll summarize here, but it will be spelled out elsewhere in the newsletter. We will gather as we have been on the 1st and 3rd Sunday (and 5th when it applies), of each month in the sanctuary and on Zoom. On those Sundays, we ask that only fully vaccinated adults attend, unvaccinated children are also allowed, but everyone must wear a mask, and distance as appropriate. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays, we will gather for worship outside in the pavilion, all are welcome regardless of vaccination status, masks are required, and we ask that you distance as appropriate. Oh, and we’re okay to sing now, indoor and out!

He is risen! He is risen indeed, Alleluia!

Better days are ahead my friends, we will gather together safely to continue celebrating the resurrection of our Lord, and later this month we will celebrate Pentecost together in person and we will discern where the Holy Spirit is continuing to guide and send us as we care for each other, our community, and the world.

Soli Deo Gloria, Pastor Robert
